Requirements for Employment:

• The minimum age requirement for employment is 16. "There are no exceptions.  

• 14 & 15-year-old scouts are encouraged to participate in our two-year Counselor-In-Training Program."

• All staff members are expected to work Staff Week and all five weeks of summer camp. However, with the prior permission of the camp director, a staff member may be allowed to take no more than one full week off during the summer camp season.

• All applicants must agree to report on time for staff training and participate in all requested staff training.

• Applicants must be registered members of the Boy Scouts of America for the entire length of their employment or agree to such before employment is offered.

• Employees must consent to a background check as a condition of employment.

• Youth Protection Training must be completed as a condition of employment.

• All employees must have a current physical exam on file (within 12 months) during employment.

• Applicants must certify that they are in sufficient physical condition for the position requested.

• The standards of the Scout Oath or Promise and Law must be adhered to during the time of employment.

• Salary is based on position responsibility with consideration given to experience.
